Visit to Catalunya Ràdio by Ruben Elies

VISIT TO CATALUNYA RÀDIO

On Tuesday 25th of April 2006, I went to Catalunya Radio.
First, I had to give the permission signed of my parents to Claudia, my English teacher.
I went with Claudia and Gloria and all my class to the train station FFCC at a quarter past nine in the morning. I went walking with other classmates. There, at the station, we bought a 2 areas ticket and got on the train at St. Cugat and got off at Sarrià.
In Sarrià, we caught bus number 66 and we got off at Diagonal Avenue near the Catalunya Radio. There, at Catalunya Radio, a girl called Gemma explained to us the radio management and the differences between the traditional studio and a self studio. And at midday we took part in a radio broadcasting programme.
The differences between a small local radio and a government one are the number of people who work at the radio and the space in building .
I think that the work of broadcasting is difficult. The University degree you need to be a broadcaster is Journalist career.
I enjoyed the visit so much because I learnt new things like the differences between a self studio and a traditional one, and saw how radio’s work .
At the end we returned to the school at 13:47h. It was very hot and I was hungry and tired .
Thanks to the project now I like to listen to the radio .

angiesprogrammeAngie’s Radio Programme

This Project was born in class last year.
And we asked Claudia our English teacher:
-Why don’t we go to Ireland?-(everybody laughed) but…..
Two weeks later Claudia came to class with some information about it.
After, talking for some time about it, we decided to do this project, because it is a good way for learning English.
If we work a lot, we can win the prize from the Catalan Ministry of Education.( Orator)
We are working a lot to make this project, and it’s not easy, it is a difficult work and all of us must pay attention and help to make it.
If we work together it can be easier, but if we don’t work together, this project will be impossible.
